Had a very pleasant experience dining here. Waitress was very polite and attentive. Lot of things to choose from on the menu, you just have to figure out what works for you. I had fried catfish and grits which had sausage and tomatoes in the sauce. So if you don't eat pork this would not be an option for you. And that's an example of what I say as far as figuring out what works for you. It's a good menu but there are a lot of different things that are a part of a meal that may not work for you. One of my friends had the crab cake and it was good. I tried the Homestyle potatoes and they were very tasty. I give this place a two thumbs up because it was pretty good. I would definitely try it again. The pictures are of the fried catfish with the grits. A really good portion a fish and grits.
Visiting family in the area they turned us on to this little jewel. The location was 10 minutes from our hotel, which was great. The atmosphere inside was calm and welcoming. The decor is very nice. This is a good spot for a date or a meal with family. The wait staff could have been friendlier; they were very transactional. When bringing the food the young man didn’t know the names of the food, for example, I ordered the Bourbon Brussels and he said "Here's your asparagus" My cousin and husband got the spareribs and he said "Here's your steak, I think" We had: Bourbon Brussels Calamari Shrimp and Grits Fried Green Tomatoes Braised Spareribs Collard Greens Everything was cooked well and seasoned This place is certainly worth checking out.
Love love lives it here and I have drove past this place over a hundred times. I decided to go here on my Mommys heavenly 51st Birthday. She loved food as much as me. She has been gone for 9months now. We all ate in her honor eating and drinking things she would have loved. I must say every dish was so yummy and flavorful. My husband and kids cannot wait to come back. Check out the pictures on what we chose to eat. Great customer service from Cali. Very informative of the dishes and menu.
Food 9/10 Service 3/10 Ambiance 5/10 Food was great, very little complaint. The short ribs were to die for! Service was...well we had a server. Sort of. Disappeared often and offered us absolutely nothing. Which was unfortunate because we were both celebrating and ready to spend. But thankfully we received everything we asked for. Ambiance was great, although our guests didn't really enjoy the live saxophone music. I thought the music was lovely but I agree that it was a little hard to have conversation.
Recently came for their Thanksgiving special and it was amazing. We paid a little over $100 for 3 appetizers 3 entrees and 3 desserts, which is a great deal. The food was awesome and service was great even during a busy time. The staff is very nice and the atmosphere was peaceful. Can’t wait to come back and try more dishes
